The heart of industrial dust collection systems is the filter media. The Keçe Dünyası Bag Filter Felt collection consists of needle-punched nonwoven filter felts specifically developed to control fine particles, fumes, and heavy dust loads in your production facilities with high efficiency. Providing high filtration capacity, minimum pressure drop, and durability under harsh conditions, these felts are of critical importance for all industrial plants utilizing bag filters (dust bags/filter bags).
Our products are manufactured from specialized technical fibers such as Polyester (PET), Polypropylene (PP) for chemical resistance, or Aramid for continuous operation at high temperatures, depending on industry requirements. This diversity ensures full compatibility with temperature conditions ranging from 120°C to 200°C and abrasive dust environments.
Surface treatments such as singeing and calendering applied to our bag filter felts maximize filter performance by reducing surface roughness. These processes are indispensable for efficient and uninterrupted dust collection performance in heavy industries such as cement, metal, chemicals, flour mills, and woodworking facilities. Additionally, the service life and efficiency of the filter can be extended according to process requirements with specialized coating options such as PTFE coating, anti-static, and water/oil repellents. With our Istanbul-based production power, we offer fast and reliable bag filter felt supply to all industrial zones across Turkey.
The choice of bag filter felt directly impacts system efficiency, maintenance costs, and regulatory compliance.
Detailed information to help you select the correct felt specifications for your heavy industrial requirements:
Bag filter felt is a high-strength filtration medium placed inside industrial dust collection systems. It functions by filtering high volumes of dust, smoke, and particulates from the air while allowing clean air to be exhausted.
It is mandatory especially in sectors with high dust loads. It is of critical importance in heavy industrial areas such as metalworking, cement, mining, wood furniture production, chemicals, food (flour, grain), and textiles.
Singeing is the process of burning off fine fibers on the surface of the felt, which enhances surface filtration. Calendering compresses the felt using heat and pressure to reduce pore size and increase filter efficiency (dust retention levels).
PTFE coating is applied to the surface of the felt to protect the filter against chemical vapors and prevent adhesive dusts from penetrating the media. This facilitates easier cleaning and extends the filter’s service life.
In such environments, it is mandatory to use bag filter felts manufactured with anti-static fibers or anti-static surface treatments. These eliminate the risk of explosion by preventing the buildup of static electricity.
The lifespan depends on the abrasiveness of the dust, humidity levels, temperature, and the daily operating hours of the machinery. Bag filters are generally not suitable for washing; they should be replaced with new ones once performance levels drop.
For such processes, special thermally resistant bag filter felts made from Aramid-based (similar to Nomex) or other high-performance synthetic fibers must be preferred. Standard Polyester (PET) only withstands temperatures up to 120°C.
