Este proceso de costura y uni\u00f3n se llama acolchado. M\u00e1quinas especiales de acolchado realizan la costura de forma continua y uniforme sin estirar el marco. Al dar forma al relleno y a la tela de esta manera, se obtiene el tejido acolchado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El acolchado se practica desde hace mucho tiempo. Puede producirse con casi cualquier tipo de tela y con muchos materiales de relleno diferentes. Generalmente, estos tejidos est\u00e1n compuestos por fibra, fieltro, esponja, etc. El proceso de costura y uni\u00f3n se realiza mediante m\u00e1quinas de m\u00faltiples agujas. A partir de una sola pieza de tela, el acolchado puede hacerse en formas geom\u00e9tricas como rombos, cuadrados, rect\u00e1ngulos, tri\u00e1ngulos y estrellas. Como los tejidos de fieltro o fibra colocados entre las dos telas exteriores tienen una estructura firme y gruesa, la tela no se estira.
