Step Firmly on the Ground with Non-Slip Backed Carpets

Because carpets help retain heat, they are among the most indispensable items in our homes. For this reason, they are used in many different areas of the house. Carpets are commonly used in living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, children’s rooms, and all other living spaces. They both help maintain cleanliness in the home and create a decorative appearance. In areas that are frequently wet, collect dust, or get dirty easily, using non-slip backed carpets is a very practical solution. For carpets produced in many different sizes and models, non-slip carpet backings are available.

Non-Slip Backed Carpets

When purchasing carpets, many homemakers prefer washable carpets. In areas such as baby rooms, children’s rooms, or youth rooms—where cleanliness is essential—carpets need to be washed frequently to maintain order and hygiene. To avoid problems such as slipping or falling, gel-backed carpets are often preferred.

Kitchens are also among the areas most frequently used during the day, and they are prone to tough stains. Tea stains, coffee stains, splashing oil, fruit juices, fruit and vegetable stains, tomato-based dishes, chocolate and ice cream residues, and countless other food and beverage stains can cause both staining and wear on carpets. For this reason, one of the most suitable carpet types for kitchens is also the non-slip kitchen carpet.

Bathrooms are another heavily used area throughout the day. Since wet or damp environments can lead to the formation and growth of bacteria, viruses, and similar microorganisms, bathroom carpets should be replaced frequently. Thanks to practical non-slip carpets, you can prevent unwanted toothpaste stains, mouthwash spills, and many other issues, while maintaining a hygienic bathroom environment.

Where Are Non-Slip Backed Carpets Made?

Non-slip backed carpets, also known as gel-backed carpets, are produced using latex technology. These carpets vary depending on the production material, the quality of the fabric used, the cutting style, and the pile length on the carpet surface. They can be made from cotton or fabrics such as viscose and acrylic. Depending on preference, they can be used with fringes or without fringes. Carpets with standard sizes such as 4 to 6 square meters can also be redesigned according to the dimensions of the area where they will be used.

Cleaning Recommendations for Non-Slip Backed Carpets

Non-slip carpets are lighter than other carpet types and are generally produced in sizes that fit into washing machines. They can be easily washed in a washing machine using suitable detergents and the appropriate temperature according to the carpet type, without much effort. Machine washing provides great convenience, especially in urgent situations.

Non-Slip Backed Carpet Recommendations

  • Each carpet type and structure requires different washing temperatures and detergents when washed in a washing machine.
  • Although it may vary depending on the carpet type, washable carpets are generally recommended to be washed at 30°C.
  • Fabric softener can be used for fully cotton carpets, but it should not be used for other types.
  • These non-slip carpets are among the most durable product options thanks to their long lifespan and practicality.
  • Non-slip carpets that are too large to fit into a washing machine can be cleaned using lukewarm water and a cloth, without using any chemical products.

Available in many colors and models, washable carpets can add a stylish look to your home and can also be preferred as rugs, runners, or doormats.
