What Are the Types of Ragle Felt?

We previously mentioned that ragle felt is a hand tool used in the outdoor advertising industry for applying foil, vinyl coverings, or removing air gaps. These ragles, made of plastic or felt, aim to achieve a smooth appearance without damaging the foil surface. What are the types of ragle felt? In order to prevent the ragle from scratching the foil, there are also types that have synthetic or natural felt on one edge. In this article, we will provide information about ragle felt types and answer your questions about where each type can be used.

What Are the Types and Features of Ragle Felt?

There are 5 different types of ragle felt that you can work with in this sector. Each type is designed according to different features and areas of use.

Premium Felt Ragle

Manufactured in accordance with European standards, it has durable and sensitive edges. It delivers top-level performance in vehicle wrapping applications. Its silky texture does not scratch the foil even on matte surfaces, offering a smooth experience. With its thick body and durable structure, it provides long-term use and makes it easier to control the ragle. One of its most important features is that it is antibacterial, which prevents germs and bacteria from surviving on it.

Birken Felt Ragle

The Birken Felt Ragle is considered to be the most durable ragle ever produced. Created by stitching special Birken felt onto plastic, this product is suitable for long-term use thanks to its resistance to wear and its unique durable structure. In addition to being resistant to abrasion, ragles made of Birken felt are highly resistant to water. Although they do not easily collect dust, when they do become dusty, they can be washed with water and reused thanks to their water-resistant structure. At the same time, due to their antibacterial structure, germs and bacteria cannot live or accumulate on them. Some of its features are listed below:

  • Extra durability with a special stitching method
  • Waterproof structure
  • Dust-resistant surface
  • Soft texture

Merken Felt Ragle

Merken Felt Ragles feature pure German felt on their surface. Since they are washed with oxygen and purified from dust, they have a softer and smoother structure compared to other natural felts. This natural felt ragle, which is widely used in Turkey, is known by almost all advertisers. It is mostly used for small foil applications. It has a felt structure that is not suitable for wet surfaces. Use on dry surfaces is recommended, where it delivers superior performance. Its thick body and durable structure allow long-term use and better control of the ragle. Another positive feature is its antibacterial structure, which prevents bacteria and germs from living or accumulating on it.

Suede Felt Ragle

The developed suede felt is bonded to plastic with the strongest adhesive. Therefore, the adhesive does not loosen even when it gets wet. Suede Felt Ragles have a very soft structure and are designed to provide a smooth foil application experience. Their main area of use is vehicle wrapping and small foil applications.

  • Velvet-like texture
  • Used for high-precision applications
  • Tear-resistant
  • Does not cause scratches
  • Suitable for long-term use

Pure Felt Ragle

Pure Felt Ragles are produced using pure felt imported from Germany. The imported felts are pressed and made suitable for use. They are designed for those who perform large-area foil covering applications. Their wide surface area provides easy and fast use. They can be used on all types of foil and deliver a flawless appearance. Since the Pure Felt Ragle is made entirely of felt, it offers many advantages in foil application processes. None of its edges scratch the foil. As all edges of the ragle are the same, every part of it can be used.
