Polyester Needle-Punched Felt Filter Bag

It is a material widely used in polyester bag filter systems. Polyester needle-punched felt filter bags are preferred by many different industries because they are produced at low cost. While they have high solvent and oxidation resistance, their acid resistance is moderate. They are available in weight values such as 400, 500, 525, 550, and 600 grams per square meter. The filter bag, which has an inner texture, is made of 100% polyester. It is resistant to tearing and tensile stress.

Polyester Needle-Punched Felt

Polyester in fiber form is converted into fabric using the needle-punching method. After becoming a fabric, it is immersed in hydrophobic liquids such as water and oil to provide repellency. This process is also referred to as a needle-punched felt filter bag. As a result of singeing on one side, the polyester filter bag gains a bright and smooth surface, preventing dust from adhering to it. Moist and oily dust entering the baghouse system is easily discharged downward without sticking to the bag, with the help of pulse jets.

Information: Pulse valves are used in baghouse filters found in cement, ceramic, paint, feed, thermal power plants, concrete plants, detergent, glass, and iron–steel factories to shake off accumulated dust and prevent solidification of dust particles.

Polyester filter bags, with a continuous operating temperature of 150°C, work without problems in sectors operating at normal temperatures. However, in systems operating at high temperatures where incoming air and dust may reach levels that can melt the bags, special filter bags must be used.
